Hope this lovely September day is just what you need today. We have survived the Back to School adventure and are gearing up for Family Weekend at Bucknell starting Friday.
Downtown is full of fabulous new clothes, good food, kitcheny stuff, running gear, bicycle needs, and of course all your art needs. There are galleries galore and we just hung a new gallery wall of framed Cavallini papers- it is so much fun. And you should see the giant black and white movie poster….Check out our Facebook page to see this.
We are trying to finalize our fall workshop schedule. Here is what we have so far. For you Lynne Yancha watercolor workshop students- she will be here
Friday September 30
Friday October 14
Saturday October 22
Her workshops are from 10-4 – cost $60 per day. She is a highly skilled and renowned painter who really can bring out the best in people. You will enjoy the class most if you have some watercolor knowledge. Bring you own supplies, and an idea of something you would like to work on. There will be a break for lunch so you can bring something or go out. Artists love her classes. Good artsy karma.
Then in November on the 11 and 12. Barbara Baker will be teaching two classes. On the 11 is the adults – “Don’t play with sticks- unless it is art sticks “ and on the 12 the kids class. It will involve paper mache critters and more. Info to follow.
Call 570-523-7911 to register for any of the above.
October will be the beginning of our 27th year. We will be having some special things going on, sales, prizes, giveaways and cake. Randy and I are going to figure this out soon.
Things are always evolving here so bunches of items have moved to the sale department. Trot on over to Studio B and check it out. At this moment there are even some sets of colored pencils there. 🙂
On the way is a HUGE order of puzzles by Pomegranate. These continue to be a favorite of our regular customers and our travelers. They should be here any day now.
We continue our Wednesday Live Love Lewisburg special. Our September special is 15% off puzzles and our children’s department. October’s will be determined shortly.
Hot items continue to be the Koi Pocket Watercolor sets, watercolor postcards, our new line of greeting cards by Good Paper which are made by those in need, all our greeting cards by Artists to Watch, Prismacolor art markers, chisel and brush – we are really seeing a resurge in these, our paper mache critters, and of course coloring books and colored pencils. I think people really appreciate that we have open stock of so many pencils and markers. T
hat is all I have for you today. Again we appreciate each and every one of you. You are what makes this so much fun.
Cheers, Kathy and Team Brushstrokes
